The studio
BeeTree Games is an independent game studio and the developer of Country Life Meadows, a free-to-play farming simulation launched in 2009 and refined ever since. Our players favor relaxed, daily-ritual sessions over high-pressure play, and the studio is organized around serving them well.
Our approach is premium quality, free to play. We invest in craft: artwork created in-house, plants drawn from botanical studies, seasonal events, and over 100 crops across three distinct regions. And the studio runs on trust: the game treats players fairly and never pressures anyone, and players reward that by staying, often for many years.
The game is fully self-published: design, code, art, and live operations all happen in-house. And development is community-driven. More than 100 shipped updates originate directly from player requests, and long-tenured players regularly see their suggestions become features.
We work in our own rhythm. That usually means a lot of hours, but never deadlines: nothing ships until it feels right. And when something does ship, we stay with it. The first days are all hands on deck: we polish, tune, and fold in player feedback immediately, so a new feature quickly feels like it has always been part of the farm.
What keeps us going is hearing that players love the game, or that an evening on the farm helped them unwind. It makes us want to build the best farming game possible, pushing the genre with features not seen in similar games, some of them highly experimental, while keeping the promise we've made since 2009: the relaxing core of the game stays intact.
